Assessing the Challenge and Opportunity for Regulators and the Natural Gas Delivery Industry
The objective of this forum is to explore Canada’s 2030 and 2050 emission reduction goals and the role of the gaseous energy delivery industry within it. We heared from experts on the following themes: i) what are the natural gas/renewable gas emission reduction pathways for Canada to 2030 and 2050, ii) How are Canada’s natural gas delivery companies showcasing leadership on 2030 and 2050, and iii) how should companies and government reflect on key consumers as they plan for the future.
Canadian energy policies strive to harmonize the economy with a sustainable environment. The transition to a more carbon-neutral economy brings structural changes, offering new possibilities. This Conference discussed the evolution of the energy sector towards carbon neutrality and the future of energy transactions.

In light of the Pandemic and in the best interest of our delegation, the International Pipeline Security Forum has selected to host the 2021 Forum virtually this year on
October 27th and 28th.
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) are pleased to be supporting the 2021 International Pipeline Security Forum again. TSA and NRCan have been co-sponsoring this annual forum since 2004, with the venue alternating between Canada and the United States.
The purpose of the Forum is to bring together policy experts, energy and utilities infrastructure owners/operators, academics, researchers and intelligence practitioners to address issues of common interest regarding pipeline security. The organizers are expecting to draw a significant number of senior energy industry and government participants through our virtual platform.
The CGA and CEPA will be hosting the event this year.
