We live in a time of constant innovation and change both in the dairy sector and beyond. In response, our industry has continuously adapted to global instability, changing political policies both at home and abroad, evolving consumer tastes and preferences, and the ever-growing need for increased sustainability efforts to mitigate climate change. Amidst this landscape, Canadians have come to understand, in very concrete ways, what it means to be vulnerable to supply issues and the importance of Canadian food sovereignty as we endeavor to protect our national food security and self-sufficiency.
Join us from February 4-6, 2025 as we discuss the key issues affecting our sector today and the tools we must use to succeed and thrive in times of change.

The CGA Energy Security Summit is a premier gathering of decision-makers, security experts, and energy system leaders. Over two days, participants will share insights into the evolving global threat landscape, Canada’s opportunity to support global energy security, and the technological advancements necessary to protect and enhance our energy production and delivery systems.
Day 1 sets the stage by exploring current threats and challenges, with keynotes on global geopolitical conflict and increasing cyber risk, followed by panels on the manipulation of energy systems and a look at the role of security and operational technologies and how to secure them. The afternoon will focus on evolving global energy trade, economic security, human and system security, and AI within data security.
Day 2 is forward-looking, with sessions on the defense-energy cyber nexus, inter-sector collaboration, and the role of fuel in ensuring long-term reliability in energy systems. The summit concludes with a keynote addressing Canada’s role on the global stage, followed by concluding remarks and insights.
Join us for this pivotal event to shape the future of Canadian energy security, enhance collaboration, and drive forward-thinking solutions.

Adjusting the Sails of the Energy Sector
The Canadian energy sector is engaged in a race to decarbonize. Like the Bluenose, the legendary Nova Scotia sailing ship, Canada's energy system is a working fleet where each member is adjusting its sail to play to its strength, overcome challenges, and find solutions to power Canada in different but reliable and affordable ways. Engage with industry experts, policymakers and regulators as we chart the new course of the energy sector.
The Compass Room at the Casino Nova Scotia, Halifax, Nova Scotia
The Energy Regulation Quarterly is pleased to advise that it is re-launching the Energy Law Forum. This year’s event will take place in the Compass Room at the Casino Nova Scotia on May 7 & 8, 2025.
The Casino Nova Scotia is directly connected to the Halifax Marriott Harbourfront Hotel.

Gas turbine energy systems play a critical role in facilitating the transition towards de-carbonization of energy resources. They have supported the phaseout of coal-based power across Canada, as well as providing cogeneration services, and gas compression for pipelines and offshore platforms. Using large amounts of high pressure air for power, gas turbine systems produce dispatchable, on-demand power necessary to provide resilience and support for the increasing share of intermittent renewables, and for managing energy during extreme weather events.
Building on established technology and a large installed base, advancements in system efficiency, flexibility and emissions reduction technology are ensuring that reliable gas turbine systems will remain an important part of the energy mix for years to come.
GTEN delivers technical training and a biennial technical symposium related to gas turbine applications and turbomachinery in clean and reliable energy solutions. Part of developing the energy transition is continuous onsite learning, so this technical course offers several hours towards Professional Engineering continuing education credits.
Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre, Vancouver, BC, Canada
The Canadian Gas Association is proud to present the first Annual CGA Academy. The CGA Academy will bring together two well-established programs – the Gas Measurement and Regulation School (GMRS) and the Economic Regulations School (formerly the Regulatory Course) – under a unified platform from June 23 to June 26. This integration enhances learning opportunities, streamlines access to key regulatory insights and fosters a more comprehensive educational experience.
The CGA Academy is designed to equip professionals in the Canadian natural gas delivery industry with the latest industry knowledge, practical skills, and expert-led instruction. Through specialized courses and best practices, the CGA Academy supports ongoing professional growth, safety, and operational excellence.

CGA is hosting its second joint Energy Nexus and Annual Technical Conference in Toronto October 27–30, 2025. The two flagship events are being brought together once again in 2025 to offer a one-stop event for the entire industry.
Join colleagues in a forum on the growing role of gas energy — natural gas, hydrogen, and RNG — in Canada, where we will challenge traditional ways of thinking on global and domestic energy security, innovation, affordability, resiliency, changing customer expectations, and more. The conference will consist of industry-leading plenary discussions, concurrent sessions, and roundtables.
The event will include measurement and regulation training opportunities along with technical presentations as part of our Gas Measurement and Regulation School. Staying true to the Energy Nexus and Annual Technical Conference, we will explore topics from both policy and technical perspectives.
