Over the past few years, we have had the privilege of organizing a variety of events that brought together industry leaders, experts, and enthusiasts. These events have fostered valuable connections, sparked insightful discussions, and contributed to the growth and development of various sectors. We look forward to continuing this journey of innovation and collaboration in the years to come.
Virtual Webinar
GTEN focuses on technical training to support the transition to cleaner energy systems, including hydrogen, renewables, pipelines, and cogeneration. With over 45 years of experience, GTEN facilitates knowledge-sharing on gas turbines and distributed energy systems, expanding into renewables and bio-energy.
To address workforce knowledge gaps, GTEN offers online and onsite training for students, employees, and Indigenous organizations, covering design, operation, and maintenance of renewable and natural gas systems. Training includes webinars by experts and annual events in Canada.

Fuelling the Future
CGA's inaugural Energy Nexus event, a forum on the growing role of gaseous energy - natural gas, hydrogen and RNG - in Canada. Energy Nexus 2022 will challenge traditional ways of thinking as we dive into the latest developments in energy innovation, affordability, resiliency, changing customer expectations, net zero, and more.

Deep Dive into Disruption
It has been said that:
“The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.” - Alan Watts, British author
Join us as we consider whether taking the plunge is the best way to address change. We will plumb the depths of disruption, to guide regulators and stakeholders as they move with the forces of innovation and the urgent calls for climate and social action that are fragmenting the century-old monopolistic control of energy. Shall we dance?

Energy Transformation and Heavy Industry
The 2022 IGUA seminar focuses on reducing the disconnect between the differing visions for transforming Canada’s energy system between the gas utilities, rate payers and societal actors. The consensus on the need to transform the way we produce, use and export energy breaks down when exploring pathways and options. The We hope to begin the process of breaking down the separate silos and start building consensus on necessary next steps. We have invited an array of impressive speakers to explore the different facets of the energy transition.

Find Your Energy 2022
CGA has been an important hub for technical information for decades. There have been a series of highly valuable annual events that CGA has run over the years, including the Operations, Engineering, Integrity & Construction (OEIC) Conference and the Gas Measurement & Regulation School (GMRS) as mainstays in the industry. In 2022, we are excited to join CGA’s technical events into a single conference – the CGA Annual Technical Conference (ATC). This combined event covers all operational areas included under the OEIC and GMRS banners and thereby provide a single information exchange and hub for technical learning in the Canadian gas industry.
In 2022, with the inaugural ATC theme, Find Your Energy, we explored leading developments in the Canadian gas industry as we work together to build an ever reliable and ever clean energy system which will position Canadians for an affordable and prosperous future.

Gas Turbines for Energy Network (GTEN) is a Canadian Technical Advisory Group to the energy industry and governing bodies. GTEN (formerly IAGT) delivers technical training and a biennial technical symposium related to gas turbines and turbomachinery in clean and reliable energy solutions. We maintain a working network of experts covering all areas of the value chain to share ideas, developments, training and review directives, guidelines, codes and practices impacting the applications of these technologies.

CAMPUT’s annual Energy Regulation Course is specially designed for those who are new to the world of energy and utility regulation. Registration is open to everyone. So come back to school this summer, and join commissioners, staff, and energy sector professionals at this intensive and dynamic five-day course.
Saskatoon, SK
The Regulatory Affairs Committee is building an excellent program – so there are sure to be high quality regulator-to-regulator discussions. We will complement the conference program with two optional events – a reception/dinner at the Remai Modern (including access to some of the galleries) and a trip to the Wanuskewin Heritage Park for lunch and tours.

Gas turbine systems play a critical role in facilitating the energy transition towards de-carbonization of energy resources. Dispatchable, on-demand generation remains necessary to provide grid resilience through the increasing share of non-dispatchable renewables and extreme weather events. Building on established technology and a large installed base, advancements in fuel flexibility and emissions reduction technology are ensuring that gas turbines will remain an important part of the energy mix for years to come. The course will explore topics such as:

The Canadian Gas Association is proud to present the 28th Annual Regulatory Course. The course objective is to develop a more complete and practical understanding of the Canadian natural gas regulatory framework and, in particular, the ratemaking process. Concepts outlined in an adult learning format will be reinforced through pre-course reading material and exercises. Interactive participation will be encouraged by using an open format and a hearing simulation involving all students.

Network With Ontario’s Largest Industrial Energy Consumers
Ontario’s largest industrial energy consumers increasingly seek new energy combinations to reduce the carbon content of their products that go beyond the siloed approach to pipes, wires and renewables.
AMPCO and IGUA invite you to a business networking session with Ontario’s largest energy consumers to facilitate a dialogue between suppliers of energy and services in the gas, power and renewable space and our members to explore business opportunities.
